Margrit Williams

Born in 1964. She was educated at Southend High School for Girls and Queens School, Rheindahlen, a British Forces School in Germany. She has a degree in Economics and is a Member of the Society of Financial Planners (MSFA). She was a councillor in Wandsworth from 1990 - 1994, contested Blaenau Gwent in 1997 and was a European Parliamentary Candidate for Wales in 2004. She currently works as Researcher and Caseworker for Sir Malcolm Rifkind MP, former Foreign Secretary.

The main themes of her campaign were:

• Time to tackle anti-social behaviour.

• We need a passenger railway service in Ebbw Vale.

• Protect and improve our NHS.
