Raised in Rassau, he
has lived and worked in Brynmawr for almost 40 years. He has been the leader of
Blaenau Gwent Council for nine years. Married to Maureen, they have two daughters and four
grandchildren.
The main themes of his campaign were:
Putting Blaenau Gwent first.
We need a motorcycle police unit in the constituency to chase "boy racers".
The Independents lack experience and have no policies.
