Owen Smith

Owen, 36, is a former BBC journalist, he was a special adviser to former Welsh Secretary Paul Murphy and is now a political lobbyist for American pharmaceutical giant Pfizer.

The main themes of his campaign were:

• Putting Blaenau Gwent first.

• Double the number of Police Community Support Officers.

• The Independents lack experience and have no policies.
