Amy Kitcher
Amy, 25, grew up in, and still lives in, Merthyr. She read Modern Languages at Aston University, before studying for an MA in Contemporary War and Peace Studies from the University of Sussex. She worked in the retail trade before taking up her current job as Assistant Regional Manager for South Wales East AM Mike German. Her father worked at the Marine Colliery in Cwm.
The main themes of her campaign were:
Labour have taken the people of Blaenau Gwent for granted for too long.
Don't let Labour scrap our local Police Force.
Stop Labour's Post Office closures.
