Mark Benson

Born in Leicester, he now lives in Buckinghamshire and works as a quantity surveyor on a private finance hospital scheme in Coventry. Formerly Vice-Chairman of Feltham and Heston Conservative Association. He contested Edinburgh Central at the 1997 general election as an Independent Democrat and Coventry North West in 2001 for the UK Independence Party.

The main themes of his campaign were:

• Companies should be made to introduce ring-fenced pension funds.

• We need to find a solution to the problem of student dept.
